There is a growing need in Durham and Orange counties for financial assistance for residents affected by immigration detention and deportation.
While there are programs that address the needs of many essential populations in our communities, some neighbors are being left out of our existing support networks. In Spring 2019, concerned community members decided to create a fund to address this need.
The Immigrant Solidarity Fund is housed at CWS Durham and is an emergency assistance resource for individuals affected by these situations. 100% of donations to the Fund will be used to support these individuals.
Ways to donate to the Immigrant Family Fund:
Online: To donate by credit card, go to www.cwsrdu.org/give and select “Immigrant Family Fund” at the bottom of the donation form.
Mail: Make checks out to “Church World Service” and write “Immigrant Family Fund” in the memo line. Mail checks to: CWS, Attn Ellen Andrews, 112 S. Duke Street Suite 4B, Durham NC 27701.
