There are many ways to support the refugee community through your volunteer work, from helping someone learn how to navigate the bus system to helping with English classes. Our volunteer opportunities vary, but generally include:

  • one-on-one refugee support, such as practicing English or showing someone the library
  • teaching computer literacy or financial literacy
  • helping refugees at the office by filling out job applications with clients or working with immigration legal services
  • helping with ESL classes

If you have a specialized skill such as social media experience or a relevant language proficiency, let us know so we can plug you into the program where your help is needed most!

Come volunteer with us!

We are currently accepting applications for volunteers who meet these requirements:

  • ability to commit to at least 6 months of direct service
  • ability to commit to approximately 3 hours a week of direct service
  • 18 years old or older

To apply, please complete our online volunteer application. After your application is reviewed, you will need to attend one of our monthly volunteer orientations and complete a $25 background check before you start your service. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Melanie, will contact you with more information after receiving your application.

Please feel free to reach out Melanie to with any questions or concerns at mduhon@cwsglobal.org!

P.S. If you’re an active volunteer, you can submit your direct service case notes here.
