Nuns on the Bus is coming to Durham on May 31st to support Commonsense Immigration Reform!

Join CWS and Nuns on the Bus for a press conference on Immigration Reform in the parking lot next to CWS (112 S Duke St, Durham, NC 27701) at 3:15 PM on Friday May 31st. Just look for the big bus! The nuns will talk immigration reform with particular reference to how immigration reform could impact refugees and asylees in the United States.

Nuns on the Bus were welcomed last year by thousands of well wishers as they traveled from state to state in support of of federal budget priorities that address the needs of struggling families.

This year, they are traveling across the Unite States–6,500 miles over 15 states–53 events in 40 cities–standing with immigrants, faith-filled activists, communtiy organizations, and Catholic sister who serve immigrant communities.

Their message is clear: We need commonsense immigration policies that reflect our values, not our fears. Congress must act now!
